Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated in Sonipat, India, seeks an Executive Quality Assurance - Operational Quality to monitor GMP, food safety, and regulatory compliance on the shop floor. You will ensure documentation for HACCP, FSSAI and SOP adherence, participate in CCP/OPRP checks, and support audits and CAPA implementations.

Bachelor's in Food Science/Technology with at least 1 year in operational quality and product testing; hands-on lab work, wet chemistry, and calibration of lab equipment;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Food Science/ Food Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Operational Quality and testing of RM/PM/FG.
• Experience ensuring GMP, Food Safety, and regulatory compliance; documentation per HACCP, SOPs, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Process assurance on shop floor for GMP, FSSAI, SOPs; ensure correct ingredients, lot codes, quantities.
• Monitor documentation on shop floor and ensure timely testing and release of product in SAP.
• Perform CCPs/OPRPs checks and line clearance; manage on-hold/disposal of questionable product as needed.
• Assist audits, CAPA implementation, and change control; support customer complaints and audit findings.

Ensuring that the products manufactured in the factory in various shifts meet the quality, food safety and regulatory requirements and all the documentation of same is in place. Monitors compliance with quality standards on production floor to ensure product and process conforms to specification and food safety practices and assist in documentation involving HACCP, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibility

• Process Assurance on shop floor for Compliance to GMP , FSSAI , SOPs & Customer Requirements along with ensuring conformance to PTDs, WIPs (i.e., correct ingredients, correct lot codes, quantities). Ensure the procedure and work instructions are being followed at shop floors
• Monitor all documentation at shopfloor .
• Ensuring timely testing and release of product in SAP
• Perform Line clearance, Monitoring of CCPs , OPRPs and other in-process checks .
• Placing questionable product on hold, discarding bad product or stopping production line (if required) to correct product quality issues or prevent them from passing to customers
• Monitor packaging to ensure correct labelling, date coding, and correct packaging is being followed.
• Assisting for GMP/ Glass and other audits, implementation of CAPA
• Perform Online Quality checks / Finished product- brix, colour, salt , viscosity, acidity, pH etc, Hands on wet chemistry - Titrations , working on Lab instruments Organoleptic tests
• Perform -packed product analysis
• Online lab management ,
• Frozen retained sample management
• Chemical and reagent management
• Calibration and challenge test of lab equipment
• Compare product specifications; check Support implementation of Quality systems - Change control , deviation management , NC product handling etc
• Be part of Root Cause Analysis, CAPA preparation and implementation of Corrective & Preventive Actions w.r.t customer complaints and audit findings
• Assist factory team in ensuring compliance to requirements before, during and after external and internal audits
• Trial Management including documentation- Participate in various trials related to NPD , Product & process optimization etc
• Validation of various equipment , processes

Provide individual or group training to production employees on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), product specifications, production controls, formulas, visual quality inspection criteria, GMP, Food Safety procedures, personal hygiene , Complaints.

Bachelor is Food Science/ Food Technology, Minimum 1+ Year experience in Operational Quality and testing of RM/PM/FG
