Siemens Energy India Limited seeks a Supplier Quality Assurance Professional for TI-STG in India to assure quality across procurement, manufacturing, and project execution.

You will report to the Quality Team Lead, work with Project Management, Procurement and Engineering, review ITPs/MTRs, and ensure compliance with ASME/API/ISO/IBR standards while coordinating with suppliers and TPIAs. Willingness to travel up to 30% is required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years QA/QC experience in heavy industry.
• Proficient in P&IDs, GA drawings, piping isometrics.
• ASNT Level II in UT/RT/PT/MT.
• CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI is advantageous.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Report to Quality Team Lead and collaborate with PM, Procurement, Eng, and suppliers.
• Prepare and implement ITPs and QA checklists for BoP equipment.
• Audit QA/QC of BoP equipment incl. gearboxes, pumps, valves, condensers.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ISO, IBR codes.
• Review MTRs/MTCs and perform stage/final inspections per ITPs.
• Review WPS/PQR/WPQ and NDT activities (RT, UT, DPT, MT).
• Coordinate inspections with TPIAs and customers.
• Manage supplier non-conformances; drive CAPA and RCA.
• Lead PPQ activities and evaluate supplier processes.
• Plan supplier quality audits and site visits.
• Capture lessons learned and promote continuous improvement.

A Snapshot of Your Day (Supplier Quality Assurance Professional, TI-STG, India)

You are quality expert and key support to the Supply Chain Management, Project Manager, driving and ensuring world‑class quality throughout the procurement, manufacturing, inspection, and project execution phases for bought-out mechanical equipment.

How Youll Make an Impact

• Report directly to the Quality Team Lead and collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Procurement, Engineering, suppliers, Third-Party Inspection Agencies (TPIA) and other stakeholders to ensure quality compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare, review, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality checklists for Balance of Plant (BoP) mechanical equipment.
• Monitor and ensure quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of BoP equipment, including gearboxes, lubrication oil systems, pumps, valves, condensers, and associated mechanical components.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international and national codes, standards, and regulations, including ASME, API, ISO, and Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR).
• Conduct vendor workshop inspections, review Material Test Reports (MTRs) and Mill Test Certificates (MTCs) and perform stage and final inspections in accordance with approved ITPs, technical specifications, and purchase orders.
• Review and monitor Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ), and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, including RT, UT, DPT, and MT, for piping and pressure-retaining components.
• Coordinate joint inspections and witnessing activities with Third-Party Inspection Agencies (TPIAs), suppliers, and end customers to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Manage supplier non-conformances, facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Lead and support Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) activities and evaluate supplier manufacturing processes through the review and approval of Manufacturing Quality Control Plans.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead periodic external supplier quality audits, routine quality inspections, manufacturing process monitoring, and performance audits at supplier and fabricator workshops to evaluate supplier performance, manufacturing capabilities, process compliance, and overall quality management effectiveness.
• Capture and drive site lessons learned and implemented best practices from previous and comparable projects. Document and share key findings with relevant stakeholders to promote continuous improvement, prevent recurrence of quality issues, and enhance project quality performance.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Typically, 5–8 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC), rotating and auxiliary equipment, power generation, or large-scale Oil & Gas infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in interpreting and reviewing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and piping isometric drawings.
• ASNT Level II certification in applicable Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
• CSWIP 3.1 (Welding Inspector) or AWS-CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification is an added advantage.
• ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Lead or internal Auditor certification.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier quality audits, supplier assessments, and quality management systems, with a strong understanding of ISO 9001 requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers, customers, third-party inspection agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, depending on business requirements.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
