Job summary

Burckhardt Compression is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to monitor supplier product quality and drive improvements with suppliers and BCx technical experts. You will conduct supplier audits, support QA/QC matters, and assist in supplier performance assessments.

The role requires mechanical engineering background, experience in supplier development, and strong knowledge of QA standards. Proficiency in MS Office and SAP is expected; English is essential, German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education in Mechanical Engineering or Machining.
• Desirable advanced technical training in QA/ machining.
• Experience in supplier development.
• Experience in Quality Control / measurement technology.
• Knowledge of country-specific regs (ATEX; DGRL; MRL; GOST).
• Familiarity with classification societies (DNV, GL, Lloyds, ABS, RINA, BV).
• Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of SAP (QM/MM) and WAY; English proficiency; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze deviation reports from suppliers to detect trends and actions.
• Define improvement action plans with suppliers and experts; monitor progress.
• Conduct regular supplier audits (QMS/EMS/OHS/Process) for quality improvement.
• Support Global Supply Chain Development in auditing and approving new suppliers.
• Assist local Operations in QA & QC matters.
• Train and support Audit pool in BCx.
• Assist Head of Global Supply Chain Development in supplier performance.

The aim of this position is to monitor the Quality of products delivered to BCx by its suppliers. Based on this monitoring the SQAE suggests and implements improvement plans together with the suppliers and BCAG technical experts to minimize the Quality Costs for BCx and maintain the Quality of Products as required by Burckhardt Compression Group:

• Monitor and analyze the deviation reports for parts supplied by suppliers to detect trends and necessary actions.
• Define action plan for quality improvement (reduction of deviations) together with suppliers, BCAG technical experts and Operational excellence as required and monitor the same.
• Conduct regular supplier audits (QMS/EMS/OHS/Process/Special Process) at suppliers as part of Quality improvement and monitoring.
• Support Business Development group of Global Supply Chain Development in auditing and approving new suppliers in the global supplier market.

• Completed education in Mechanical Engineering or Machining
• Advanced technical training (e.g., mach. technician, quality assurance) - (desirable)
• Experience related to supplier development
• Experience in Quality Control (measurement technology) - (desirable)
• Knowledge of country-specific regulations (ATEX; DGRL; MRL; GOST) - (desirable)
• Knowledge about working with classification societies (DNV, GL, Lloyds, ABS, RINA, BV) - (desirable)
• Knowledge of destructive / non-destructive material testing
• Knowledge of norms and standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 etc.)
• Good PC skills for MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Knowledge of SAP (QM, MM) and WAY - (desirable)
• Command of written and spoken English
• Knowledge of German language will be added advantage
