Job summary

Ashok Leyland is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to assure quality of supplied parts and materials. You will lead audits, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions across supplier networks.

Candidate should have 3–8 years in supplier quality, strong tools knowledge (8D, FMEA, SPC/MSA), GD&T interpretation, and willingness to travel for audits and follow-ups. Diploma/BE/BTech in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in Supplier Quality / Incoming Quality.
• Strong practical knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 8D, 5 Why, RCA, CAPA, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC and MSA.
• Good knowledge of QC measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, Gauges, CMM, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Experience in supplier audits, process audits, incoming inspection and supplier quality improvement.
• Responsible for handling supplier rejections, line quality issues, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Willingness to travel frequently to supplier locations for audits, inspections, problem-solving and follow-up activities.
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering with good communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities
