Job summary

Donaldson Company is seeking an experienced Stores/Inventory Leader to oversee material receipt, storage, issuance, and comprehensive inventory control in our Gurgaon, India facility. The role requires driving accuracy in ERP and physical stock, leading a 30+ person team, and maintaining compliance with 5S, FIFO/FEFO, quality and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 6-8 years in automotive/manufacturing stores, strong MS Excel skills, and experience with SAP/Oracle and warehouse management

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years experience in Automotive/manufacturing store/warehouse.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control and ERP systems.
  • Experience with FIFO/FEFO handling and 5S/audit processes.
  • Exposure to quality & document control standards (IATF/OHSAS) and supplier returns.

Responsibilities

  • Material receipt and storage management with safe, organized handling.
  • Timely material issuance to production to avoid line stoppages.
  • Maintain ERP records and physical inventory accuracy (≥99%).
  • Ensure warehouse operations meet SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a stores team of 30+ with training and performance oversight.
  • Process RTVs for rejected/excess/obsolete materials with minimal losses.

Key responsibilities

1. Material Receipt & Storage Management. Ensure all incoming materials are received, verified, stored correctly, and made available for operations in a safe and organized manner.

  • 100% on-time material receipt
  • No pending GR beyond agreed TAT>24 Hrs.
  • Storage compliance and location accuracy

2. Material Issuance & Production Support. Ensure timely and accurate material issuance to production to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

  • On-time material issuance (98%)
  • Zero production line stoppages due to store-related issues
  • Material issue accuracy

3. Inventory Control & System Accuracy. Maintain accurate physical inventory and ERP records through timely transactions and regular stock verification.

  • Inventory accuracy ≥99%
  • Oracle transaction accuracy ≥99.5%
  • Cycle count variance within target
  • Timely completion of stock counts

4. Warehouse Operations & Compliance. Maintain an efficient, safe, and compliant warehouse environment by implementing SOPs, FIFO/FEFO, 5S, and statutory requirements.

  • FIFO/FEFO compliance (%)
  • 5S audit score>95%
  • Internal/External audit compliance
  • Zero safety incidents

5. Team Supervision & Operational Excellence. Lead and develop the stores team to achieve productivity, discipline, and continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

6. Vendor Returns & Inventory Optimization. Ensure timely processing of rejected, excess, damaged, or obsolete materials through proper Return to Vendor (RTV) processes while minimizing inventory losses.

  • RTV transaction accuracy- 100%
  • Reduction in blocked/obsolete inventory
  • Documentation accuracy
Education Qualification

Graduation in Any Discipline MBA/Diploma in Store Management

Technical Competence & Skills

Proficient in MS Excel and inventory management. SAP/Oracle Knowledge Warehouse Management System FIFO/FEFO Management Quality & Document Control IATF & OHSAS Standard knowledge

Leadership Competence

Able to Lead a team size of 30+ Communication & Coordination with Inter Dept. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Decision Making, Planning & Execution

Relevant Experience

6-8 years' experience in Automotive/manufacturing Store Others (% of travel, language, etc.): Hindi English
