Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum segment is seeking a Chartered Accountant with post-qualification of 6+ years to join the finance team responsible for general ledger, close processes and financial reporting. The role requires strong knowledge of Ind AS, Indian GAAP/US GAAP, internal controls, and ERP experience (PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle).

Excellent communication and collaboration are essential. You will partner with audits, ensure compliance, and support monthly/quarterly closes, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with post qualification - 6+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, and compliance.
• Experience handling statutory audits, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
• Solid knowledge of Ind AS, Indian GAAP/US GAAP, Companies Act, and auditing practices.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Positions in this function maintain general ledger accounts and related activities to produce financial statements and reports.
• Performs account reconciliations and analyses, prepares journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Analyzes and prepares financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position.
• Involved in the monthly/quarterly close process.
• Prepares documentation in support of external and internal audits.
• Coordinates, supervises and is accountable for the daily activities of business support, technical or production team or unit.
• Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements.
