Job summary

Synergy Marine Group seeks an experienced training specialist to develop, deliver and review regulatory-compliant training modules for the shipping industry. The role focuses on imparting domain-specific knowledge, developing trainee skills and maintaining up-to-date course materials and records.

You will design simulator scenarios, assess and improve training programs, and assist with audits and training compliance matters. Strong maritime experience on Oil/Chemical Tankers is essential.

Qualifications

• Sailed as Master (mandatory for eligibility).
• Experience with Oil/Chemical Tankers is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop training modules aligned with client requirements and regulatory guidance.
• Review training programs regularly to reflect changes in laws and guidance; update course material.
• Prepare simulator scenarios as per client requirements and integrate into courses.
• Check simulator software and report any deficiencies for rectification.
• Maintain punctual delivery of training sessions and ensure training records are properly stored and disseminated.
• Stay updated on statutory and regulatory changes and amend course delivery accordingly.
• Highlight deviations to Clients for timely redressal.
• Assist in management reviews and internal audits.
• Support Clients with training compliance and certification issues.
• Develop cross-domain skills and knowledge acquisition.

Job description

To develop, deliver and review training modules and courses required as per the regulatory framework in the shipping industry. Impart domain specific knowledge and develop skills /attitudes in the trainees.

Eligibility Criteria

• Should have sailed as Master
• Vessel Type experience: Oil / Chemical Tankers.

Responsibilities

• Development of training modules in line with Client requirement, in line with statutory and regulatory guidance.
• Review training programs at assigned intervals against changing laws and guidance and keep the training course material up to date.
• Prepare simulator scenarios in line with Client requirements and include in training courses.
• Check simulator software at regular intervals and highlight any shortcomings for due rectification.
• Complete tasks assigned within the given timeframe.
• Maintain a high degree of punctuality when facilitating training courses.
• Ensure training records are handed over to concerned teams for storage/ dissemination.
• Keep abreast of changing requirements- both statutory and regulatory and promptly make amendments in course delivery.
• Highlight any deviations in processes to Clients for effective and timely redressal.
• Assist in conducting management reviews and internal audits of organization.
• Assist Clients with matters concerning training compliance and certification issues.
• Take on skill and knowledge acquisition in cross domain functions.
