HITACHI ENERGY TECHNOLOGY SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED in Chennai is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the GA Secondary team. You will primarily produce electrical diagrams and supporting documents using AutoCAD Electrical, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver protection and control schematics for substations.

The role requires 5–8 years of hands‑on experience, a BE/BTech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in B.E / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical tools.
• Strong understanding of Protection & Control Systems for T&D/Gen.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, ANSI standards.
• Relay configuration and testing added advantage.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain professionalism.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English.

Responsabilités

• Prepare Single Line Diagrams/Protection Single Line Diagrams.
• Prepare Panel Layouts and BOM.
• Prepare Protection and Control Panel schematics for Medium/High Voltage Substations.
• Prepare Junction Boxes for CT, VT, and Density monitors, AC/DC Load calculations.
• Prepare Trip Matrix and IO Signal lists.
• Prepare Interlocking tables and schematics for Busbar configurations.
• Address technical queries raised by the customer during execution.
• Interact with cross-functional teams like Primary, Project Management and Production.
• Self-review documents before submission to Lead Engineer.
• Generate Preliminary BOM by understanding importance and consequences of release.
• Prepare Mimic boards in line with SLD and Layout drawings.
• Understand and prepare Communication Architecture diagrams.
• Prepare protection schematics (Trafo, Line, Busbar) when integrated in LCC.
• Select Bay Control Unit and other protection IEDs.
• Prepare complete Digital Control & Protection drawings for Digital Substation.
• Configuration Relays and Testing of Relays adds advantage.
• Adhere to applicable codes, QA/QC policies, standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.

The opportunity

You will be a part of the GA Secondary team and support the execution of Protection and Control engineering.Your work involves mainly creating electrical circuit diagrams and supporting documents. We use the AutoCAD. Electrical tool for generating the schematics. You will be an individual contributor who would deliver the tasksas per the given inputs and when required need to work in coordination with other colleagues and should exhibit good collaborative skills to complete the task. In the absence of your Lead or in some cases, you will berequired to interact with our counterparts to get/clarify queries. You may also interact with other departmentslike Primary, Project Management, and Production.

How you’ll make an impact

• Preparation of Single Line Diagram/Protection Single Line Diagram.

• Preparation of Panel Layout and BOM.

• Preparation of Protection and Control Panel schematics for Medium/High Voltage Substation.

• Preparation of Junction Box for CT, VT, and Density monitors, AC / DC Load calculation.

• Preparation of Trip Matrix and IO Signal list.

• Preparation of Interlocking table and schematics for various Busbar configurations.

• Addressing the technical queries raised by the customer during the execution of a project, if required.

• Interaction with various cross-function teams like Primary, Project Management, and Production,when required.

• Self-reviewing the documents before submitting them to Lead Engineer.

• Adhering to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.

Your Background
