Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Electrical Substation engineer for our Pune office who will work on AIS & GIS substations and renewable energy projects. You will contribute to scheme development, perform relay selections, and prepare schematics for AC/DC drawings as part of substation design.

The role requires 7–10 years of relevant experience, coordination with customers and suppliers, and strong knowledge of equipment sizing and BOM preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience in electrical substations for AIS & GIS, plus renewable energy.
• Experience with balance-of-plant activities such as sub-station and material handling.
• Coordination with customers and suppliers.
• Experience in system studies and primary/secondary substation knowledge.
• Experience in electrical equipment sizing and cable sizing.
• Preparation of Bill of Materials for complete substation per customer specs.

• Must be aware about all Bus Bar schemes up to 400KV.
• Should have experience of working on AC and DC schematics drawings.
