Job summary

Stantec in Pune is seeking an experienced Electrical Substation Engineer. The role requires 7–10 years of experience in Electrical Substations for AIS and GIS, including renewable energy.

You will work on busbar schemes, AC/DC schematics, and relay-related tasks, coordinating with customers and suppliers. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and has hands-on experience with scheme development, relay settings, and BOM preparation for substations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience in Electrical Substations for AIS & GIS, Renewable energy.
• Experience coordinating with customers and suppliers.
• Experience in system studies & primary/secondary knowledge in substation design.
• Experience in Electrical Equipment sizing, Cable sizing.
• Experience in preparation of BOM for complete Substation with proper components/equipment selection as per customer specification and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work on AIS and GIS substations for renewable energy projects.
• Develop schemes and relay settings for substations.
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers to ensure design alignment.
• Prepare BOMs and assist in equipment sizing and cable sizing as required.

• Must be aware about all Bus Bar scheme up to 400KV 2) Should have experience of working on AC and DC Schematics drawings 3) Should have experience of working on Relay Selection 3) Should be aware about scheme development 4) Should be aware about the relay setting calculation for substation above 110KV

Specific Experience

• Bachelor/ master’s degree in Electrical engineering.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in Electrical Substation for Both AIS & GIS Stations, Renewable energy.
• Experience in with balance of plant related activities such as Sub-station, Material handling.
• Experience in Co-ordination with Customer and Suppliers.
• Experience in System Studies & Primary, Secondary Knowledge in substation design.
• Experience in Electrical Equipment sizing, Cable sizing.
• Experience in preparation of Bill of Material for Complete Substation with proper. Components / Equipment selection as per Customer Specification and Requirements.
