Job summary

Geosoft Surtech is seeking a qualified Subsea Engineer to plan, supervise, and deliver subsea and offshore engineering activities across survey, inspection, and infrastructure projects in line with Saudi regulations and project specifications.

The role requires strong offshore technical capability and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality subsea solutions on time and to specification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Subsea, Ocean, Mechanical, Civil, or Marine Engineering, or equivalent.
• Diploma candidates with strong offshore and subsea project experience may also be considered.
• A valid Saudi Council of Engineering (SCE) license is mandatory.
• Experience in subsea survey, offshore inspection, or marine infrastructure projects is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor subsea and offshore activities in compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications
• Coordinate effectively with vessel crews, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to support smooth project execution across Global operations
• Prepare accurate technical reports, project documentation, and daily progress updates in a timely manner
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, mobilisation, and risk assessment to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, subsea survey data, and technical documents to support offshore execution
• Liaise with client representatives and project stakeholders to maintain alignment on scope, quality, and delivery milestones
• Support geospatial and survey teams with subsea engineering inputs for offshore, pipeline, and marine infrastructure projects
• Maintain organised project records, site documentation, and revision history throughout the project lifecycle

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and delivering subsea and offshore engineering activities across survey, inspection, and infrastructure projects, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and Saudi regulatory requirements. This role requires strong offshore technical capability, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality subsea engineering solutions on time and to specification.

Minimum Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Subsea, Ocean, Mechanical, Civil, or Marine Engineering, or equivalent from a recognised institution. Professional Skills

• Strong proficiency in subsea engineering principles, offshore operations, and project execution in compliance with Saudi and international standards
• Working knowledge of subsea survey and inspection workflows, including ROV operations, hydrographic and bathymetric survey, pipeline inspection, and subsea metrology
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering documentation tools
• Solid understanding of project planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk assessment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and subsea survey deliverables
• Strong coordination skills to work effectively with vessel teams, contractors, consultants, and internal multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of geospatial, survey, and BIM workflows is an advantage
