Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking a DevOps/Cloud Engineer to run production environments, monitor system health, and manage Azure AKS/ACR and related Azure PaaS services. The role includes automation, performance tuning, and collaboration with development teams to enhance service reliability and time-to-market.

Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and cloud-native tooling is essential, with hands-on skills in monitoring, logging, and dashboard customization to meet SLOs and budgets.

• Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of application solutions.
• Measure and optimize system/platform performance, with an eye toward pushing capabilities forward and innovating to continually improve.
• Provide primary operational support for Azure Cloud Platforms and CNCF tools (AKS/ACR and other Azure PaaS platforms).
• Support Azure DevOps/GitOps pipelines for automated platform provisioning and day to day management & support activities.

• Certified in Azure Public cloud with strong ARM/Terrraform/Ansible knowledge
• Objectives of this Role

• Build software and systems to manage public cloud platform infrastructure and applications supporting Platform automation

• Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and Container orchestrators to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives
• Required Skills and Qualifications

• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
• Good knowledge of Azure Cloud services with Hands-on exposure
• Ability to work with leading DevOps solutions like Azure DevOps/Jenkins.
• Knowledge and work experience in Automation tools like Terraform, Ansible.
• Knowledge of Monitoring and Logging solutions like Azure monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog etc. with ability to customize dashboards, define SLOs, Error Budgets etc.

4. Relevant Experience: 5 – 7 years
