Job summary

River is seeking an experienced SAP PP professional to act as a functional SME for end-to-end production planning support. You will translate complex business needs into robust SAP PP solutions, configure core PP components, and drive process optimization across manufacturing functions.

The role requires hands-on experience with MRP, BOM, routing, work centers, and production orders, plus strong cross-functional collaboration with MM/QM/SD/PM/FI-CO.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of SAP PP functional experience.
• Strong configuration expertise in SAP PP.
• Hands-on experience with MRP, Production Orders, BOM, Routing, Work Centers, Capacity Planning, Production Execution.
• Experience in SAP Fiori and/or SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
• Knowledge of PP integration with MM, QM, SD, PM, FI/CO.
• Experience in support, enhancements, implementation, and rollout projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Act as the functional SME for SAP PP and provide comprehensive end-to-end support for Production Planning processes
2. Gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into effective SAP PP solutions
3. Configure and enhance SAP PP functionalities including: Material Master, Bill of Materials (BOM), Work Centers, Routings, Production Versions, Production Orders, MRP, Shop Floor Control
4. Lead initiatives for production planning, manufacturing execution, and process optimization
5. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including MM, QM, SD, PM, and FI/CO to ensure seamless integration
6. Perform advanced system configuration, testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities
7. Facilitate workshops, fit-gap analysis, and solution design sessions with business users to drive alignment
8. Prepare detailed functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams for developments, enhancements, interfaces, and reports
9. Support integration with MES or other manufacturing applications where applicable
10. Manage incident resolution, conduct root cause analysis, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives
11. Develop user documentation, conduct comprehensive training sessions, and provide knowledge transfer to business users
12. Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and organizational standards while fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork
13. Deliver effective SAP PP solutions that meet business requirements and enhance production planning efficiency
14. Achieve high levels of user satisfaction through effective support and training initiatives
15. Drive continuous improvement in production processes leading to measurable increases in productivity and cost savings

Ideal Candidate
