About the Role:We are looking for a passionate and technically strong Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Computer Networks & Computer Architecture who can bring deep subject knowledge, practical problem-solving ability, and a strong interest in teaching and mentoring.

The SME will work closely with faculty, instructors, and academic teams to strengthen course delivery, curriculum, learning content, labs, assessments, and student outcomes across Computer Networks and Computer Architecture.

This role is ideal for professionals from academia, industry, research, technical training, or engineering backgrounds who enjoy simplifying complex technical concepts and creating engaging, application-oriented learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities
1. Subject Matter Expertise & Teaching Support
  • Demonstrate strong conceptual and practical expertise in Computer Networks and Computer Architecture.
  • Support classroom and lab delivery through lectures, tutorials, problem-solving sessions, and hands-on activities.
  • Explain complex technical concepts in a simple, structured, and application-oriented manner.
  • Conduct doubt-solving, revision, and advanced problem-solving sessions for students.
  • Connect theoretical concepts with real-world systems, products, and engineering applications.
2. Curriculum & Content Development
  • Develop and review course content, lecture materials, assignments, quizzes, projects, and assessments.
  • Design practical learning experiences, case studies, simulations, and system-level problem-solving exercises.
  • Continuously improve course content based on student feedback, learning outcomes, and industry developments.
  • Ensure learning materials maintain strong conceptual depth while remaining relevant to current technology practices.
Computer Networks – Core Expertise

Computer Architecture – Core Expertise

Strong understanding of:

  • Digital Computer Organization
  • CPU Architecture and Instruction Set Architecture
  • ALU, Control Unit and Registers
  • Datapath and Control
  • Memory Hierarchy
  • Cache Memory and Virtual Memory
  • Main Memory and Storage
  • Pipelining and Pipeline Hazards
  • RISC vs CISC Architectures
  • I/O Organization and Interrupts
  • Parallelism and Multiprocessor Architecture
  • Basics of GPU/Modern Processor Architecture
Hands-on & Practical Learning
  • Design and support hands-on labs using Linux/Unix systems and networking tools.
  • Create practical exercises around network configuration, troubleshooting, packet analysis, and system-level concepts.
  • Use tools such as Wireshark, Linux networking utilities, simulators/emulators, and scripting environments where relevant.
  • Encourage students to solve real-world engineering problems through projects and practical assignments.
Student Mentorship & Engagement
  • Mentor students on technical concepts, projects, assignments, and problem‑solving.
  • Help students develop strong foundations in systems and networking.
  • Guide students in building practical projects and preparing for technical interviews.
  • Identify learning gaps and provide targeted interventions to improve student outcomes.
  • Encourage curiosity, experimentation, and independent technical learning.
Faculty & Academic Collaboration
  • Collaborate with faculty, instructors, and Teaching Assistants to ensure consistency in course delivery.
  • Support faculty with subject‑matter expertise, technical content, labs, and assessments.
  • Participate in course reviews, academic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to building a strong and collaborative academic culture.
Required Qualifications
  • M.Tech / M.E. / Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Networks, Computer Architecture, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • B.Tech / B.E. in a relevant discipline with strong subject expertise may also be considered for candidates with significant industry, teaching, or technical training experience.
  • Strong academic foundation and demonstrated expertise in Computer Networks and/or Computer Architecture.
Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in academia, teaching, technical training, mentoring, research, or relevant industry experience.
  • Prior experience as a Subject Matter Expert, Faculty, Instructor, Technical Trainer, Teaching Assistant, Researcher, or Systems/Network Engineer is preferred.
  • Strong industry experience in networking, systems, infrastructure, software engineering, or computer architecture will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates with strong hands‑on expertise and a demonstrated passion for teaching and mentoring are encouraged to apply.
