Job summary

Caring with Colour is seeking Subject Matter Experts / Content Developers to design hands-on experiential learning modules for K-12 teachers, spanning curricular and co-curricular areas. The role requires identifying learning gaps, developing tools, and representing the organization to education department stakeholders.

You will plan district programs and participate in end-to-end program activities while creating engaging lesson plans and PBL tasks.

Qualifications

• MSc/MA/B.E./M.Tech or B.Ed/M.Ed required.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NCERT and DSERT curriculum and Pedagogy.
• Creative and out-of-the-box thinking.
• Passion for education and social change.
• Willingness to work in Govt School space.
• Strong English and Kannada communication.
• Ability to collaborate with education dept officers and teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Design experiential learning modules for K-12 teachers in curricular and co-curricular areas.
• Identify gaps in learning and develop tools to improve outcomes.
• Represent the organization to education department stakeholders.
• Plan district programs aligning with district/cluster level activities.
• Participate in design, planning, implementation, monitoring and documentation.
• Develop lesson plans, worksheets and PBL activities aligned with objectives.
• Visit education offices to participate in trainings and reviews.
• Facilitate training sessions for teachers and education functionaries.
• Support content team with drafting, proofreading and storyboard creation.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. The primary responsibility of Subject Matter Experts / Content Developers is to Design hands-on experiential learning modules for K-12 teachers both in Curricular and Co-Curricular modules such as teacher professional development module in Pedagogy.
• 2. Precisely identify the gaps in the learning process in the schools and develop appropriate tools, methods, and processes needed to improve learning outcomes in students.
• 3. Represent the organization at various levels of the education department and establish strong working relationship with the stakeholders.
• 4. Understand organizational vision, goals, and activities at the District, Block / Cluster and School level and plan the programs in the district accordingly.
• 5. Participate in Design, planning, implementation, monitoring, review, and documentation of program activities.
• 6. Develop effective lesson plans, worksheets, and Project-Based Learning (PBL) activities aligned with curriculum objectives and students learning needs.
• 7. Visit offices of the dept at district and block level to participate in meetings and reviews of the training programs implemented by CWC and Dept
• 8. Facilitate / Co-facilitate relevant training sessions for the Teachers and education functionaries along with the other teams of CWC
• 9. Assist the content team in other tasks like drafting, proof reading documents and reports using consistent and crisp language, create story board for videos

Qualifications Skills Required:

• Strong Academic Background - MSc / MA / B.E / M. Tech, B.Ed / M.Ed - Any specialization
• Teaching experience is good to have.
• Knowledge of NCERT and DSERT curriculum, and Pedagogy
• Creative and out-of-the-box thinking
• Passion for Education and social change and Willingness to learn work in Govt School space
• Good communication skills in both English and Kannada are mandatory.
• Being sensible and reflective
• Ability to collaborate with Officers of the education dept and internal team members towards attainment of both individual and collective team goals.
• Strong analytical skills. working knowledge of tools like Excel, Power point, word etc is a must.
• Documentation skills in both English and Kannada is essential

Ability to Travel frequently is mandatory. Most of the travel will be to Education Offices in district and Blocks and sometimes to Cluster level Centers and Schools.
