Caring with Colour invites applications for a Program Coordinator to anchor the Teaching Learning Enhancement Program (TLEP) in Anekal Block, Karnataka. The role requires coordinating with district/block/cluster functionaries for planning, implementation and monitoring of initiatives while ensuring strong stakeholder collaboration and timely reporting.

The candidate should have 3–4 years of program management experience in education, excellent Kannada and English communication, and willingness

  • Master’s in Science / Education / English / Economics / Sociology.
  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Education is preferable (not mandatory).
  • Strong Program Management background – 3–4 years of experience implementing block level educational programs.
  • Passion for Education and social change; willingness to learn & work in Govt School space.
  • Good communication skills in Kannada and English are mandatory.
  • Ability to collaborate with Officers of the education dept, partner NGOs, funding partners and internal team toward goals.
  • Should be a good team player; work with team of Teacher mentors.
  • Strong analytical skills; solid working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word; networks/apps essential.
  • Documentation skills in Kannada and English are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with District/Block/Cluster level functionaries for planning, implementation, monitoring, review and assessment of TLEP initiatives as SPOC.
  • Represent the organization at various levels of the education department and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Take leadership and ownership of all initiatives of CWC towards achieving TLEP goals.
  • Provide ground-level requirements and perspectives to the design team for training modules.
  • Plan, implement, monitor, review and document program activities.
  • Visit district and block offices to participate in meetings and reviews of training programs.
  • Organize/facilitate relevant sessions for Block & Cluster level functionaries and education staff.
  • Conduct team processes such as monthly/weekly schedules, progress reviews, and presentations to leadership.
  • Monitor Teachopia content usage and experiential teaching metrics.
  • Engage with funding partner through regular meetings for updates and appraisal.
  • Participate in capacity enhancement trainings and orientations for CWC staff.
  • Present progress and improvements in internal team meetings and reviews; document learnings in reports.
  • Any other responsibilities allocated by the organization.

Job description

Program Coordinator – Teaching Learning Enhancement Program (TLEP)

Purpose:

The primary role of this position is to anchor and coordinate implementation of Teaching Learning Enhancement Program by successfully collaborating with the educational institutions and functionaries at District / Block, Cluster level and School level

Key Responsibilities:

Co-ordinate with District / Block / Cluster level functionaries and for planning, implementation, monitoring, review, and assessment of initiatives taken up by CWC as part of Teaching Learning Enhancement Program – by taking up the role of a SPOC

Represent the organization at various levels of the education department in the District / Block and establish strong working relationship with the stakeholders at all levels.

Assume the leadership & ownership of all the initiatives of CWC towards achieving the goals of Teaching Learning Enhancement Program

Contribute in providing the ground level requirements and perspectives of the stakeholders / beneficiaries to the design team for designing the need based training modules

Participate in planning, implementation, monitoring, review and documentation of program activities.

Visit offices of the dept at district and block level to participate in meetings and reviews of the training programs implemented by CWC

Organize / Facilitate / Co-facilitate relevant sessions required for the Block & Cluster level functionaries and education functionaries.

Conduct all the team level processes on time – such as Monthly and weekly schedules, weekly progress reviews, daily updates of activities of the team, presentation to CWC leadership teams,

capacity building for the team, etc.

Monitor the usage of Teachopia content, extent of experiential teaching & other parameters by organising regular review meetings scheduled along with the Department.

Work with the funding partner by having regular meetings to update, review and appraise them from time to time.

Take part in capacity enhancement training programs and orientations conducted by CWC to its staff members from time to time

Participate in internal team meetings and reviews and make presentations of the progress made and improvement found at various levels

Document the learnings, reflections in the form of program reports, monthly quarterly reports and interim review reports

Any other responsibilities allocated by the organization from time to time

Report to the Program Implementation Manager of CWC and work under his guidance and support on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Strong communicator who can build strong working relationships for the organization that are based on trust and collaboration

Strong Academic Background – Master’s in Science / Education / English / Economics / Sociology

Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Education is preferable (not mandatory)

Strong Program Management Background – 3-4 years of solid working knowledge and skill of implementing Block level educational programs

Passion for Education and social change and Willingness to learn & work in Govt School space

Caring with Colour – A Manasi Kirloskar Initiative (CWC) is a non-profit organization in India working towards improving the quality of education in Government Schools by enabling teachers to adopt an experiential teaching methodology in their classrooms as envisaged by the educational policies like NEP 2020 and NCF 2005. Towards this end, CWC has developed a teacher support system that includes experiential teaching content based on NCERT Curriculum, and an experiential teacher training system coupled with a technology platform called ‘Teachopia’ that can enable and empower teachers to effectively adopt “Experiential Teaching Techniques” inside their classrooms.
