The role involves identifying learning gaps, developing tools, and coordinating with government education officials to implement district-wide programs, including training sessions and documentation.

Qualifications

• Urdu reading, writing and speaking proficiency.
• Strong science teaching methods aligned with NCERT/DSERT.
• Knowledge of NCERT and DSERT curriculum and science pedagogy.
• Willingness to travel to field locations.

Responsibilities

• Design hands-on experiential learning modules for K-12 teachers in Urdu.

• Represent organization with education department stakeholders.
• Plan programs at district, block, and school levels.
• Document program activities and monitor progress.

SME – Science with proficiency in Urdu language

Key Responsibilities:

• The primary responsibility of Learning and Development SME - Science is to Design hands‑on experiential learning modules for K-12 teachers both in Curricular and Co‑Curricular modules such as teacher professional development module in Science Pedagogy in Urdu.
• Precisely identify the gaps in the teaching and learning processes at schools and develop appropriate tools, methods, and processes need to plug those gaps in order to improve learning outcomes.
• Represent the organization at various levels of the education department and establish strong working relationships with the stakeholders.
• Understand organizational vision, goals, and activities at the District, Block / Cluster and School level and plan the programs in the district accordingly.
• Actively participate in design, planning, implementation, monitoring,
• review, and documentation of program activities.
• Visit the field locations to interact with stakeholders at district and block level and also participate in meetings and reviews of the training programs implemented.
• Facilitate relevant training sessions for the Teachers and education functionaries along with the other teams’ of CWC
• Collaborate with other teams in tasks like drafting, proof reading documents and reports using consistent and crisp language, support in the creation of storyboards for videos

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Urdu language is a requisite: Reading, Writing and Speaking
• Strong Academic Background – M.Sc in Sciences – Physics/ Chemistry / Botany / Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry, B.E / M. Tech, B.Ed / M.Ed – Any specialization that provides enough skill in Science teaching- learning methods.
• Knowledge of NCERT and DSERT curriculum, Science Pedagogy
• Creative and out-of-the-box thinking
• Good communication skills in Urdu, English and Kannada is preferable.
• Basic knowledge of translation is essential.
• Ability to collaborate with Officers of the education dept and internal team members towards attainment of both individual and collective team goals.
• Strong analytical skills. Working knowledge of tools like Excel, Power point, word etc is a must.
• Documentation skills in Kannada is preferable.
• Passion for Education and social change and Willingness to learn & work in Govt School space
• Travel to field locations is expected and mandatory.
