Qualifications

Job Summary

Job Summary - The Studio Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the studio/showroom. The role includes maintaining garment and fabric displays, managing sample inventory, coordinating with vendors and distributors, handling customer visits, ensuring proper hospitality, and working with internal teams to keep the studio organized and business-ready.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the studio and ensure it is clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Arrange garments, fabrics, and seasonal collections neatly and replace displays with fresh samples whenever required.
  • Manage sample inventory and maintain accurate records of inward and outward movement of garments, fabrics, and display materials.
  • Conduct regular stock verification and ensure all samples are properly maintained and readily available.
  • Coordinate with internal team for sample collection, product displays, new sample arrivals, and other studio-related requirements.
  • Handle distributors by coordinating product displays, sample requirements, product enquiries, and ensuring timely support.
  • Coordinate visits for distributors, vendors, customers, buyers, consultants, auditors, and senior management, ensuring meeting rooms, product displays, and proper hospitality.
  • Work closely with Product Development, Design, Sampling, Production, Quality, Stores, and other support functions to ensure timely availability of samples.
  • Lead and guide the studio team by assigning daily work, monitoring performance, and training team members on studio operations and sample handling.
  • Maintain visitor logs, inventory records, asset registers, display records, and prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports for management.
  • Identify and implement improvements in studio operations, inventory management, customer service, and visitor experience.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, maintain confidentiality of company samples and developments, and uphold housekeeping and safety standards within the studio.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
  • MBA or Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
  • 8-12 years of experience in the apparel, textile, garment export, retail, showroom, or related industry.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in studio/showroom management, vendor coordination, distributor handling, sample management, sales, customer care, or customer relationship management.
Technical Skills
  • Good knowledge of garments, fabrics, and product development.
  • Sample inventory and inward/outward management.
  • Vendor coordination and distributor handling.
  • Customer relationship and visitor management.
  • Visual merchandising and display management.
  • Hospitality and customer service.
  • ERP/SAP or any inventory management system.
