Job summary

IIT Bombay invites applications for a Student Counselor (Scale I). The counselor will provide high-quality mental health support to students, promote wellbeing, and participate in campus-wide mental health initiatives to help students achieve academic success.

Qualified candidates will have a Master’s degree in psychology with six years of relevant experience; PhD counts towards experience. The role is on-site at Mumbai with Pay Level 10 and a gross package as described.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Counselling Psychology / Applied Psychology with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade point average, with six years of relevant experience after qualifying degree.
• For applicants possessing a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, the duration of the Ph.D., upto three years, would be counted towards the required experience.
• At least four years of experience as a counselor/psychologist in an academic or medical institution.
• At least three years of experience in psychological counselling to young adults residing on a fully residential campus of an academic Institute.
