Job summary

Jacobs Bengaluru is seeking a BIM Structural Modeler to support multi-disciplinary project teams. You will create 2D drawings and 3D models, ensuring technical quality and compliance with project objectives and quality standards.

The role requires experience with LOD 300 REVIT documentation, reinforcement detailing, and coordination with architecture, MEP, and other disciplines. Proficiency in REVIT Archi, REVIT MEP, and Navisworks is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing minimum LOD 300 REVIT documentation (3D and 2D).
• Experience in general arrangement, composite and structural steel drawings.
• Reinforcement drawings and detailing experience; precast a plus.
• Experience on international projects; BIM management skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D drawings and 3D models; mentor and train drafting team.
• Coordinate BIM documentation with project managers/engineers.
• Ensure technical correctness and project standard compliance.
• Maintain self-discipline, work ethic and timely delivery of drawings.
• Liaise with Architecture, MEP and other disciplines.
• Use REVIT Archi, REVIT MEP and Navisworks for coordination.
• Apply BIM best practices for 3D modelling, scheduling and documentation.

Your impact

ROLE

BIM Structural Modeler, as a part of multi-disciplinary projects teams, is responsible to provide drafting support to technically challenging projects. Technician would create 2D drawings and 3D models and shall be responsible for the technical quality of his own work and would focus on compliance with project objectives and quality standards.

Experience

Experience in preparing minimum LOD 300 REVIT Documentation (3D and 2D), general arrangement drawings, Composite steel drawings, Structural Steel Drawings, Reinforcement Drawings, and Reinforcement Detailing. Experience in Precast will be an advantage must have experience on international projects self‑motivated, team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision. Experience in BIM management as an additional skill will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on detailed drawings for a range of projects to create 2D drawing and 3D models and support, mentor and train other members of the drafting team in accomplishing complex tasks.
• Need to coordinate with project managers and/or engineers for BIM documentation and drafting work in a given project.
• Responsible for technical correctness, project standard compliance and timely delivery of the drawings and documents.
• Exercises self-discipline and work ethics
• Respect and follow company policies and procedures
• Liaise with Architecture, MEP and other disciplines
• Familiar with Programs REVIT Archi and REVIT MEP for coordination of models, Navisworks for checking of models
• Has in depth knowledge of building structural elements.
• BIM Knowledge as per best-industry practice, hands‑on experience in 3D modelling and scheduling, multi‑D coordination and documentation, BIM setup for a project and execution and monitoring.
