Job summary

9E Global Engineering Consultants LLC is seeking a capable Steel Structural Engineer to represent the practice on diverse projects and take ownership of design and construction phases. The role involves coordinating with the design team, managing schedules, and ensuring deliverables meet fee and quality standards.

The candidate should have 3-6 years in engineering consultancy, with a Master’s degree or Chartered Engineer status as an added advantage, and prefer experience on Middle East

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-6 years' experience in engineering consultancy firms.
• Master’s Degree/Chartered Engineering will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Middle East projects will be highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent the practice at project level.
• Demonstrate ability to take responsibility for assigned projects.
• Ability to manage the design and construction stages of a project.
• Role will normally be as Steel Structural Engineer on projects of various sizes; on major/more complex projects could take the role of designing structural steel frameworks.
• Liaise and correspond day to day with design team.
• Attend team/job meetings to discuss progress/deadlines/detail design issues.
• Be responsible for delivering work to a fee agreed with a Project Manager.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to steel structural design including American, European and Indian.
• Proficiency in using Engineering software applications such as ETAB, SAP-2000, STAAD Pro, Idea Statica, Hilti etc.
• Report to Lead Structural Engineer/Principal Structural Engineer.

• Knowledgeof Erection engineering will be an added advantage.
• Preparationof Design basis Report and calculation report.
• Working knowledge of specifications and otherproject documentation; assist in their preparation as per project requirements.
• Responsible for producingdrawings/calculations/specifications/reports for assigned tasks.
• Review and comment on deliverables produced byGraduate Engineers & Technicians at key stages through a project.
• Familiar with architects/serviceengineers/etc. drawings, specification and coordination with them forsmooth functioning of project.
• Support Quality Management (QA) within the team byapplying quality procedures and checks.
• Have knowledge of our delivery in CADstandards and 3D working.

QHSE Responsibilities

• Understand, implement andfollow 9E QHSE policies.
• Implement and coordinate QHSEprocedures in your workplace.
• Comply with local regulatoryauthority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
• Report any QHSE incidentsimmediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
• Abide Client/Contractor QHSErequirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
