Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer for Bengaluru to execute structural designs and assist in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams on diverse infrastructure projects. You will prepare design studies and contribute to proposals, ensuring alignment with codes and client needs.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, proficiency in STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, and related tools, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years of structural design experience.

Job Description

• Structural design with limited supervisory responsibility in the preparation of design.
• Coordination with structural and other discipline engineering staff as necessary to develop structural designs.
• Preparation of structural design studies and reports.
• Participation in the development of project proposals.

Skills & Abilities

Intermediate Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Good written and verbal communications skills. Intermediate knowledge of engineering analysis/design software (e.g. Revit, STAAD, RISA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• 3+ years of experience with structural engineering design
• Proficiency in use of STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, MS-Word, MS-Excel, MathCAD.
• Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with international standards such as BS,ASCE, IBC, AISC, ACI, ASTM.
• Experience with static and dynamic equipment foundations, steel structures like pipe-racks and equipment supporting structures, steel and reinforced concrete buildings, connection designs, development of design criteria, specifications and standards.
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis methods and software.
• Experience with structural designing for water/wastewater/other industrial/facilities(building) projects
• REVIT and MicroStation skills

Background Check and Drug Testing Information

Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
