Job summary

Relentless Aec Management in Surat, Gujarat, seeks a Structural Engineer to support cold-formed steel framing design for international projects. You will produce structural calculations, framing layouts and connection details aligned to project standards and timelines.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, preparing designs for LGSF wall panels, floor joists and roof trusses, performing calculations, and coordinating for shop drawings.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 1-5 years of experience in LGSF/steel detailing is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of loads, connections and detailing logic.

Job Summary

Our company is hiring a Structural Engineer to support cold-formed steel (Light Gauge Steel Framing LGSF) design and detailing for international projects. The role involves producing structural calculations, framing layouts, connection details aligned to project standards and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct basic interpretation of drawings, codes and other similar materials.
• Prepare and review structural designs for LGSF / cold-formed steel wall panels, floor joists, roof trusses, and framing systems.
• Perform basic to intermediate structural calculations demonstrating understanding ofload paths, member sizing, deflection checks, etc.
• Coordinate with internal detailing team for shop drawings / fabrication drawings.
• Interpret architectural/structural drawings and convert into constructible framing solutions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards/codes (as per project requirement - US/AU/others).
• Support RFIs, mark-ups, revisions, and design updates based on site/client feedback.
• Maintain clear documentation, version control, and timely delivery of outputs.

Required Skills & Tools

• Good understanding of cold-formed steel / LGSF structural behaviour.
• Working experience with any of the following (good to have more than one):
• FrameCAD / Vertex BD / Mitek / Howick / Scottsdale / Tekla / Revit (as applicable)
• AutoCAD (mandatory for coordination)
• Good knowledge of loads, connections, deflection, and detailing logic.
• Ability to work on tight timelines and manage multiple revisions.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil / Structural Engineering (M.E. preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience: 1-5 years (open to fresher + training if fundamentals are strong).
• Prior experience in LGSF / steel detailing / prefabricated systems is a strong advantage.

Work Schedule

• 5 days/week (as per FSFTM policy)
• US Shift ( 3 pm to 1:30 am)
