Job summary

VR Automation in Bavdhan, Pune is seeking a Structural Engineer with 7-10 years of experience to design and analyze industrial structures and equipment support systems. You will coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical and civil teams, prepare GA and fabrication drawings, perform load calculations, develop foundations, and ensure deliverables meet project schedules and quality standards.

Experience with AutoCAD and structural analysis software is preferred, and familiarity with codes used

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in equipment support structures, mezzanine floors, maintenance platforms, and heavy steel structures.
• Experience in automotive plants, paint shops, conveyor systems, warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural steel systems, platforms, pipe racks, equipment support structures, and industrial buildings.
• Prepare structural layouts, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and connection details.
• Perform structural calculations for dead, live, wind, seismic, and equipment loads.
• Develop foundations and anchor bolt layouts in coordination with civil engineers.
• Prepare material take-offs (MTO/BOM) and estimate steel quantities.
• Review customer specifications, project standards, and applicable design codes.
• Coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical, and civil engineering teams.
• Support manufacturing, fabrication, site installation, and commissioning by resolving technical issues.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and customer meetings.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed within project schedules and quality standards.
• Incorporate design changes and maintain revision control throughout the project lifecycle.
