Job summary

A global engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural BIM Engineer/Modeller to create 3D models and coordinate structural design. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering, 4-17 years of BIM experience, and proficiency in Autodesk Revit. This full-time position is based in Bengaluru, India, and offers the opportunity to work on large-scale projects and ensure accuracy in engineering designs.

Responsibilities

Primarily involved in creating 3D Revit structural models and 2D drawings including general arrangements, sections, and reinforcement detailing for concrete and steel structures.
Skilled in Dynamo scripting for automation and efficiency improvements in modeling workflows.
Experienced in estimating modeling hours and supporting proposal efforts.
Collaborates closely with project teams and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of design data.
Working-level experience with BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam.
Conducts clash detection using Navisworks and other BIM tools, resolving inter-disciplinary conflicts efficiently.
Utilizes Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related BIM software to produce detailed, high-quality 3D models and documentation.
Maintains and develops BIM standards, libraries, and templates to ensure accuracy and consistency across projects.
Generates visualizations, renderings, and walkthroughs to support design reviews and client presentations.
Performs thorough quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications, BIM execution plans, and industry standards.
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

Creating Technical Drawings & Models:
Develop detailed structural drawings and 3D models for steel structures, including anchorage and steel connection detailing, using AutoCAD and Revit.
Collaboration with Engineers & Architects:
Work closely with structural engineers and architects to incorporate design calculations, specifications, and feedback into accurate construction-ready drawings.
Revising & Updating Drawings/Models:
Modify and update designs as per project requirements, ensuring all drawings and models meet the latest design revisions, codes, and standards.
Preparing Construction Documents:
Generate detailed construction documentation, including reports, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and other deliverables extracted directly from Revit models.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough checks and self-reviews to verify drawing accuracy, maintain consistency, and ensure compliance with project specifications and BIM standards.
