Job summary

Tech Data is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with hands-on test automation, functional testing, and test-case design experience. You will work on enterprise applications, utilize SAP, qTest, and Azure DevOps, and continually learn new technologies and processes.

You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, develop automated suites, analyze requirements, and collaborate with product, development, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
• Hands-on with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Strong manual and automated test case design and execution.
• SQL knowledge for data querying, analysis, and validation.
• Understanding of QA processes and test lifecycle management.
• Experience with enterprise applications and business processes.
• Familiarity with qTest for test management and Azure DevOps for work items.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer with hands-on experience in test automation, functional testing, and test case design/execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise applications, be familiar with tools such as SAP, qTest, and Azure DevOps, and possess a continuous learning mindset to adapt to new technologies and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.


• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of enterprise applications.


• Develop and maintain automated test suites to improve test coverage and efficiency.


• Analyse business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to create effective test scenarios.


• Identify, document, track, and validate software defects through resolution.


• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.


• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality risks.


• Support UAT/ Production sanity test when required.


• Generate and maintain testing metrics, reports, and quality dashboards.


• Continuously improve testing processes, automation frameworks, and quality practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.


• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools.


• Strong experience in creating and executing manual and automated test cases.


• Working knowledge of SQL for Database querying, data analysis and validation.


• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and test lifecycle management.


• Experience working with enterprise applications and business processes.


• Experience using qTest for test management.


• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps for requirements, defect management and SAFe/Agile delivery.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices.


• Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman/Bruno.


• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.

Good to have

• Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.


• Working knowledge automation testcases with the ability to develop and maintain automation Framework


• Exposure to cloud-based platforms and enterprise integration solutions.


• E-commerce/billing application background


• Familiarity with SAP environments and workflows.
