ApplyBoard seeks a skilled writer to craft impactful content across reports, social posts, and blog articles. You will distill complex education policy and market trends into engaging, accessible content for diverse audiences, while supporting lead generation and thought leadership.

You will collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency of tone and messaging, and contribute to content strategy with deadlines met and high-quality output.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional writing, content, or marketing communications experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of the international education landscape and ability to become an expert in it.
• Portfolio showing range: long-form reports and short, high-frequency content.
• Exceptional written communication with strong editing skills.

The Opportunity

You'll create content that helps ApplyBoard stand out, from insight reports and high-profile communications to short, frequent posts that people actually read and share.

What you’ll do (Responsibilities)

Be an industry expert

• Build deep, current knowledge of international education: government policy, study permit and visa changes, enrolment trends, and what they mean for students, institutions, and recruitment partners
• Monitor industry news, regulatory developments, and competitor activity, and turn them into a clear point of view for ApplyBoard

Create consumable content

• Produce a steady flow of short, snackable content (social posts, quick-take articles, data snapshots, newsletters, short-form video scripts) alongside longer pieces
• Break flagship reports and data into multiple bite-sized assets so every insight gets maximum reach
• Source, organize, and analyze first- and third-party data to craft trend reports, insight reports, gated e-books, and publications for our different segments and audiences
• Write for our blog, social channels, and other owned channels for lead gen and nurture, sometimes ghostwritten on behalf of leaders
• Apply SEO best practices and research to optimize content
• Turn industry insights into material the sales team can use in conversations: briefings, talking points, one-pagers, and FAQs on policy changes

Keep our story consistent

• Contribute to ApplyBoard's content strategy and calendar, making sure deadlines are met and quality stays high
• Help shape key messaging and uphold ApplyBoard's tone of voice across teams
• Edit content from across the marketing team for clarity, tone, style, and grammar
• Work with design and distribution to turn content into different formats
• Facilitate content brainstorms within marketing and across teams
• Build and refine presentation decks for key ApplyBoard events

What you bring (Requirements)

• 5+ years of professional writing, content, or marketing communications experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally in tech or education
• A strong understanding of the international education landscape, especially government policy, and a real appetite to become an expert in it
• A portfolio that shows range: long-form reports and thought leadership alongside short, high-frequency social and editorial content
• Exceptional written communication, with sharp attention to detail and strong editing skills
• The ability to translate complex information and data into clear, useful content for different audiences
• Experience creating enablement or training content for sales, partner, or customer-facing teams
• Confidence presenting and sharing knowledge with internal teams and leadership
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust across teams
• Solid time management and the ability to hit aggressive deadlines without compromising quality
• A working knowledge of marketing principles and SEO best practices
• Comfort working independently, solving problems, and managing your own workload

Nice to have

• Experience in PR or media relations, or content that has earned media coverage
• Experience with HubSpot, Google Sheets, WordPress, and Canva
• Experience with short-form video or podcast content
