Job summary

STL Digital Ltd. is seeking a Storage And Backup Administrator to oversee day-to-day administration, monitoring, and support of enterprise backup, storage, and virtualization environments.

You will work with Veeam, Kubernetes/OpenShift, KubeVirt VMs, MS SQL Always-On, and SAN storage (NetApp & Lenovo). The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in IT or engineering, and familiarity with ITAM/ITSM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5–8 years of BACKUP, Storage, BCP, DC & DR, IT ops experience in large industrial or manufacturing setup.
• Proficiency in ITAM/ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Helix, ManageEngine.
• Understanding of software licensing models and compliance audits.
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Administration, monitoring, and support of backup, storage, and virtualization environments (Veeam, OpenShift/Kubernetes, KubeVirt, MS SQL Always-On, SAN).
• Manage Veeam Backup & Replication (on-prem & virtual workloads).
• Implement and manage backup strategies for Kubernetes and OpenShift Virtualization.
• Manage snapshot-based backups and ensure RPO/RTO readiness; perform restore drills and testing.
• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Coordinate with network/server/DBA teams for integrated backup solutions; ensure security/compliance (ISO/ISMS).

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day administration, monitoring, and support of enterprise backup, storage, and virtualization environments including Veeam, OpenShift/Kubernetes, KubeVirt VMs, MS SQL Always-On, and SAN storage (NetApp & Lenovo)

administer and manage the Veeam Backup & Replication environment (on-prem & virtual workloads).

Implement and manage backup strategies for Kubernetes (worker/master nodes) and OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt VMs).

Manage snapshot-based backups and ensure point-in-time recovery readiness. Provide support for MS SQL Enterprise Always-On backup and recovery strategy. Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure SLA compliance. Perform restore drills and validation testing periodically.

Manage SAN storage (NetApp & Lenovo) provisioning and performance monitoring. Coordinate with network, server, and DBA teams for integrated backup solutions.

Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and audit requirements (ISO / ISMS).

Required Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, or related field.

5 to 8 years of experience in BACKUP, Storage, BCP, DC & DR, IT operations in a large industrial or manufacturing setup.

Proficiency in ITAM/ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Helix, ManageEngine.
