The role oversees maternal cash schemes and SBCC initiatives, coordinating with government stakeholders to align interventions with project goals and deliverables. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in major programs, with strong leadership, strategic partnership building and documentation of lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in management, public health or related field with substantial project leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the state-level project strategy, ensuring adherence to deliverables, budget and workplan.
• Develop SOPs, training modules and job aids for interventions.

• Represent the project in state-level meetings with government officials (WCD and others).

IPE Global invites applications from qualifiedcandidates for the position of State Team Lead for a large-scale MaternalHealth and Nutrition Project.

State Team Lead will beresponsible for overseeing the implementation of the Maternal Cash schemesand comprehensive SBCC initiative within the state, ensuring alignment with theoverall project goals and deliverables. She/he will lead the coordinationwith all government stakeholders for design and rollout of interventionsaimed to strengthen government initiatives focused on maternal and childnutrition.

Key Responsibilities

Strategydevelopment, government liaising & technical support

• Lead the developmentand support the execution of the overall project strategy at the state level,ensuring compliance with the approved project deliverables, budget and workplan
• Ensuretimely development of SOPs, job aids, training modules for various projectinterventions
• Ensure thatproject activities are designed and approved at the state level through theappropriate government authorities
• R represent the project/organisation and participate instate-level monitoring and coordination meetings conducted by governmentofficials (WCD and others).
• Establishand maintain a robust monitoring and technical support mechanism at the statelevel.

Projectmanagement

• Oversee thecoordination, management, supervision, and monitoring of all projectactivities at the state level
• Analyseproject performance trends, identify implementation challenges, and taketimely corrective and coordinated actions to ensure achievement ofdeliverables and result.
• Ensurestate level reporting, enable visualization through dashboards for better evidence-basedprogramming for the state officials
• Facilitateknowledge creation and management processes by enabling documentation oflessons learned, success stories, and best practices by responsible teammembers
• Maintaineffective communication and coordination with team members and keystakeholders to ensure cohesive implementation and timely issue resolution.
• Activelyparticipate on monthly review meetings at the national and state level withthe project teams
• Facilitate disseminationcampaigns at the state level for sharing program insights and learnings withrelevant national and local stakeholders.
• Coordinatewith the nodal departments in the State for improving inter-sectoralcoordination and project implementation.
• Identify,establish and foster external partnerships with local CSRs or fundingagencies that will contribute to the overall success of the project.

As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive,the state team lead may be required to undertake other duties as determinedby the Project Director that are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities.

Qualification & Experience

• Advanced university degree in Management/ PublicHealth/ Public Policy/Social Sciences/Economics with minimum 15 years ofexperience in managing large projects/ programmes preferably Maternal andChild Health programs.
• At least 4-5 years of experience of working in thestate with the government officials as technical support or directimplementation experience through donor funded programs.
• Proficient in local language (writing, reading andspeaking).
• Experience in developing robust monitoring andreporting systems for state level evaluations and impact assessments.
• Demonstrated experience building and leadingstrategic partnerships with key stakeholders from diverse sectors includingNGOs, government, and the private sector.
• Sound understanding of program data and proficiencyin using MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Excellent presentation and communication skillsespecially for donor engagement and high-level representation of the projectand organization.
• Ability to take up exhaustive travel within thestate, at least 10 days in a month and to other parts of the country ifrequired
• Experience in implementing large scale cash transferprogrammes or direct benefits transfer.
• Good operational understanding of women and childdevelopment, health and family w elfare and rural development sectors and programmes.
• Preference will be given to those who have previousexperience of working with demanding clients, private foundations, andcorporates.

Contract Type and Period

Thiswill be a fixed term contract.

Thecontract will be initially for a period of one year, extendable thereafter,based on performance, for a likely period of 5 years. IPE Global is a fast-growingorganization with a large portfolio of programmes in India/South-East Asiaand Africa and there could be opportunity for long term association forexceptionally good candidates on mutually agreed terms.

Compensation

Compensationpackage will be commensurate with qualification & experience and lastsalary drawn.
