Stashfin seeks an experienced Database Administrator to own and operate the core database infrastructure powering lending and risk engines. You will drive uptime, data integrity, and RBI-compliant security across distributed cloud databases.

Responsibilities include managing PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud-native databases, optimizing performance, and leading zero-downtime migrations with RBAC and audit logging. This role demands Fintech-scale expertise and a proactive security mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years of DBA experience in Fintech or banking.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS Aurora, Redshift, and RDS.
• Strong knowledge of data security, RBI guidelines, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage high-availability database clusters across cloud platforms.
• Tune queries and indexing for sub-second latencies.
• Design disaster recovery with backups and multi-region replication.
• Ensure encryption, RBAC, audit logging per RBI PCI-DSS ISO27001.
• Oversee schema migrations and zero-downtime deployments.

The DBA will take complete ownership of Stashfin's database infrastructure, which powers their core lending and risk engines. The primary goals are to ensure 99.99% uptime, achieve zero data loss, and maintain strict compliance with RBI regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management : Architect, manage, and scale high-availability relational and NoSQL database clusters across AWS, GCP, or Cloud SQL to support high-volume transactions.
• Performance Optimization : Tune query execution, indexing, and resource utilization to maintain sub-second latencies.
• Disaster Recovery (DR) : Design DR strategies, automated backups, and multi-region replication to achieve near-zero RPO and RTO.
• Security & Compliance : Enforce strict encryption, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and audit logging to comply with RBI IT guidelines, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
• DevOps Collaboration : Oversee schema migrations and DDL scripts to guarantee zero-downtime deployments.

Key Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience : Proven track record managing large-scale, high-concurrency production environments (preferably in Fintech or Banking).
• Technologies : Deep expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS Aurora, Redshift, cloud databases (RDS), and caching engines like Redis.
• Technical Skills : Hands-on experience with failover configurations, lock/deadlock resolution, IOPS tuning, and conducting live DR drills.
• Compliance : Strong familiarity with data security protocols, audit readiness, data masking, and data localization laws.
