Job summary

ESP Engineered is seeking an experienced professional for responsibilities including RFQ preparation for new die sets, tooling process optimization, and hands-on experience with skin panel dies. The ideal candidate should hold a B.E/B.TECH and possess a minimum of 8-12 years in cold stamping processes and project management methods like APQP and PPAP. This role involves conducting meetings with suppliers and optimizing yield during the tryout phase, ensuring all deliverables align with project timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-12 years experience required.
• Hands-on experience in skin panel dies is a must.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs for new die sets and conduct cost evaluations.
• Optimize tooling processes and provide feedback on design checks.
• Conduct weekly meetings to ensure project timelines are met.
• Check ECR feasibility and follow up on vehicle condition implementation.

Job description

Responsibilities

• RFQ Preparation for New die sets along with Should Cost
• Simulation Feasibility & tooling process optimization
• 2D & 3D Process Layout check & validation feedback to supplier
• Design check in CATIA & give feedback to supplier close all issue
• Machining & Assembly follow up to get 1st panel to gauge & meet project timeline
• Weekly conduct meeting along with supplier to achieve project schedule
• ECR Feasibility check & provide should cost, Follow up implementation with supplier & validate vehicle condition
• HLTO - follow up, close all fit & finish issue before PSW
• Quality aspect & Pist % achieve plan detail action plan along with supplier
• Yield Optimization during tryout phase before handover of tooling
• Hands on experience in skin panel dies.
• Cost saving activities Yield improvement, thickness reduction or grade change
• Review and approve Supplier PPAP packages, understanding Level 3 submission PPAP requirements
• Utilize the tools of APQP (PPAP, FMEA’s, control plans, capability studies)
• Develop project timelines for APQP projects and ensure successful adherence to the schedule.
