Job summary

Jobgether in India is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (NodeJS, Python, Go) to lead an engineering squad, own a product area from roadmap to production, and stay hands-on across frontend and backend.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
• Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals, APIs, data modeling, UI architecture, performance optimization, and debugging.
• Proven ability to own projects from technical design through production delivery.
• Experience making pragmatic technical trade-offs and navigating ambiguity.
• Strong communication and alignment across engineering and product stakeholders.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, or managing teams.
• Solid understanding of software quality, testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Nice to have: React and TypeScript, Python (Flask/FastAPI) and/or Node.js, strong SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Nice to have: fintech/compliance/B2B SaaS domain experience and building internal tools.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Software Engineer (NodeJS, Python, Go) based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-impact engineering squad while remaining actively involved in software development. You will take end-to-end ownership of a product area, shaping its technical direction and driving delivery from roadmap to production. Working across frontend and backend architecture, you will build scalable product experiences for an AI-powered compliance platform. You will collaborate closely with Product and Design to turn complex compliance workflows into intuitive, effective solutions. Alongside hands-on engineering, you will mentor developers, strengthen engineering standards, and guide technical decisions. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, with an emphasis on product ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

• Lead an engineering squad and take ownership of delivery for a product area, from roadmap planning through execution.

Requirements:
