Jobgether, on behalf of a partner, is seeking a Full Stack Product Engineer based in India. You will own end-to-end product challenges, from understanding customer needs to delivering reliable software across the full stack while aligning with privacy, security, and performance requirements.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and other engineers to improve an open-source digital analytics platform used by organisations worldwide. Remote from India with ownership and impact.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full Stack Product Engineer based in India.

Join a globally distributed engineering team building an open-source digital analytics platform used by organisations around the world. In this role, you will take ownership of meaningful product challenges, from understanding customer needs and shaping solutions to delivering reliable software and measuring its impact. You will work across the full stack, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Quality Assurance to improve an established product while introducing new capabilities. Your work will help organisations understand digital behaviour, protect data privacy, and maintain control over their information as AI transforms how people discover and interact with digital services. The environment is lean, collaborative, and focused on autonomy, thoughtful technical decisions, and measurable customer outcomes. This is an opportunity to contribute to a widely used open-source product while working remotely from India with flexibility and a strong sense of ownership.

Accountabilities

• Understand customer needs: Collaborate with Product, engineering colleagues, and customers to identify meaningful problems, challenge assumptions, clarify requirements, and define successful outcomes.

• Shape product solutions: Evaluate technical approaches, explore alternatives, prototype ideas, and make informed decisions about scope, complexity, priorities, and implementation.

• Develop across the full stack: Own technical design and implementation across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, and product workflows, selecting solutions that fit existing architecture and customer needs.

• Improve an established product: Investigate mature systems, understand existing behaviour, and introduce improvements carefully while maintaining compatibility with existing customers, integrations, plugins, and open-source users.

• Maintain high engineering standards: Integrate privacy, security, accessibility, performance, maintainability, and backwards compatibility into the development process from the outset.

• Collaborate across disciplines: Work with Product, Design, Quality Assurance, and other engineering teams to deliver cohesive solutions and address problems that span multiple technical domains.

• Deliver and iterate: Ship improvements in small, manageable increments, take responsibility for production outcomes, and use customer feedback and evidence to evaluate performance and guide future enhancements.

• Use AI throughout development: Apply approved AI tools to requirements refinement, ideation, prototyping, implementation, code review, and testing. Provide appropriate context, evaluate generated suggestions critically, and verify the quality of resulting software.

• Improve development practices: Maintain reusable AI instructions and workflows, experiment with emerging tools and models, and identify practical ways to improve engineering efficiency without compromising quality or security.

• Contribute to product strategy: Help strengthen capabilities across areas such as measurement integrity, human analytics, AI analytics and digital presence, growth and web, and enterprise platform functionality.

• Communicate effectively: Share decisions, progress, technical trade-offs, and learnings clearly in a globally distributed, asynchronous working environment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience delivering full-stack software, with the technical depth to investigate complex problems, evaluate architectural choices, and make sound engineering decisions.

• Strong product judgement and a customer-focused mindset, with the ability to explain why a feature or improvement matters and how it can deliver measurable value.

• Demonstrated ownership of projects and outcomes, including the ability to clarify ambiguous requirements, identify opportunities, and shape solutions without relying on fully specified tasks.

• Experience working with mature codebases and established systems, improving functionality while avoiding unnecessary rewrites or disruption.

• The ability to balance speed of delivery with software quality, privacy, security, performance, maintainability, and backwards compatibility.

• Practical experience using AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements refinement, prompt-context preparation, implementation, testing, and validation.

• Willingness to maintain reusable AI workflows and instructions, follow developments in AI models and engineering tools, and experiment with approaches that improve delivery and quality.

• Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate technical concepts, document decisions, and collaborate effectively across time zones.

• A track record of exercising sound judgement, taking responsibility, and delivering meaningful results.

• Flexibility to work across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, documentation, product workflows, and customer feedback as required by the problem.

• Familiarity with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Vue.js, and TypeScript is beneficial, although exact experience with this technology stack is not essential.

• Additional helpful experience includes product management, UI/UX design, building a product or business, contributing to or maintaining open-source projects, developing plugins and APIs, and working with analytics, data-intensive systems, or enterprise software.
