Job summary

Google Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned software engineer to contribute across the full stack on large-scale projects. You will mentor peers, own features end-to-end, and drive architectural decisions in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with backend systems, data storage, distributed computing, and AI initiatives, shaping direction and delivering high-quality software for billions of users with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 5 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Mentor engineers on the team, and own and launch features end-to-end. Provide technical leadership on projects, and influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
• Design, code, launch, and land customer-facing features (E2E tech stack). Oversee end to end ownership of high ambiguity projects.
• Oversee mobile app development and backend development. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Produce high quality code with engineering. Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
• Solve some of the toughest scaling problems. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.
