Job summary

At CommBank in Bangalore is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join Retail Technology. You will lead development of enterprise-grade .NET applications, microservices, and RESTful APIs, with a focus on reliability and automation.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD, test automation, and mentoring teams. You will design scalable cloud-native solutions, implement logging/monitoring, and drive DevOps practices across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience as a .Net Backend engineer.
• MVC with .NET Core, REST APIs, Microservices; .NET Framework helpful but not required.
• Selenium or equivalent unit/integration test automation experience.
• React JS and Next JS knowledge; strong OOP and design patterns.
• CI/CD with Git tools; TeamCity/Jenkins; deployment tools like Octopus.
• Databases: MSSQL/Oracle; MongoDB is a plus.
• Cloud: AWS/Azure; familiarity with EC2, VPC/ASG/ALB/LAMBDA/ECS/EKS/S3.
• Monitoring: Splunk, AppDynamics; Grafana/Prometheus.
• Agile methodologies and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deploy CI/CD strategies, ensuring the stability and security of the cloud platform.

• Automate repetitive tasks using Python, shell scripting, and PowerShell.
• Drive automation through understanding processes and implementing improvements.
• Develop test automation frameworks and strategies, focusing on CI/CD/DevOps.
• Conduct Web services and API testing using Postman / Bruno, etc.
• Work with various application teams to ensure stability and security of the cloud platform.
• Ensure excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills on applications.
• Implement and maintain logging and monitoring solutions using CloudWatch, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Apply QA patterns: TDD and BDD; Web services, REST/SOAP/XML testing with POSTMAN, Bruno.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Cycle Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, testing, and automation, with a passion for DevOps and a systematic approach to solving complex problems. This role requires excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, experience in leading teams, and a deep understanding of the infrastructure that runs .NET applications

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using technologies such as C# /.NetCore .
• Hands-on experience on cloud technologies, especially AWS.

• Work with various application teams to ensure the stability and security of the cloud platform.
• Ensure excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills on applications.
• Implement and maintain logging and monitoring solutions using CloudWatch, AppDynamics, Splunk, observe, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Apply industry best QA patterns and practices, including Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
• Development Experience in Web services, REST/SOAP/XML, and API/Service-based testing using tools such as POSTMAN, Bruno etc..
• Utilize cloud technologies and build/test cloud-based applications, with a preference for AWS.

Essential Skills

• Experience: 12+ years of industry experience as a .Net Backend engineer Development
• Methodologies : MVC with .NET Core, REST APIs, Microservices, experience on .NET Framework is helpful but not must have, streaming platforms like Kafka is good to have too.
• Test Automation: Unit/Integration/Acceptance testing experience with Selenium.
• Programming Languages: R eact js and Next js, C# with good knowledge of OOPS concepts and design patterns.
• CI/CD: Any Git tool for source control. Build tools like TeamCity or Jenkins and experience with deployment tooling like Octopus or similar.
• Databases: Either of the relational databases like MSSQL / Oracle. Also, any No-SQL database like MongoDB is good to have.
• Cloud: Hands-on AWS / Azure (EC2, VPC, ASG, ALB, LAMBDA, ECS, EKS, S3).
• Monitoring: Familiarization with Splunk or a similar monitoring tool. Any familiarity with performance tooling like AppDynamics is good to have. Soft skills: Excellent communication skills. Working experience with Agile methodologies.
