Job summary

Google Cloud's software engineers build the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, and data storage.

You will work on a project critical to Google Cloud's needs and have opportunities to switch teams and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience building large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Experience with cost and performance modeling for data center infrastructure and ML hardware.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for solving the cell resource optimization and cell densification which enables the growth needed for the AI/ML infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership, guide and mentor other engineers, ensuring technical excellence across projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement long-term technical goals and address open-ended problem.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and work with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.
• Mentor junior engineers and share expertise to help develop future technical leaders.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
• Experience with cost and performance modeling for data center infrastructure, and ML hardware.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex distributed systems.
