Job summary

Google India Pvt Ltd is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to tackle complex infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, with opportunities to lead initiatives across Google Cloud's scale.

You will own technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive cross-team collaboration while delivering high-performance distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
• Experience with cost and performance modeling for data center infrastructure, and ML hardware.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for solving the cell resource optimization and cell densification which enables the growth needed for the AI/ML infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership, guide and mentor other engineers, ensuring technical excellence across projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement long-term technical goals and address open-ended problem.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and work with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.
• Mentor junior engineers and share expertise to help develop future technical leaders.
