Job summary

Narayana Health is seeking a skilled nurse to join our Raipur facility. The role involves assessing patient needs, planning and delivering nursing care, documenting records, and educating patients and families about care plans.

You will work to ensure infection control, patient safety, and adherence to accredited standards. Responsibilities cover care delivery, pain assessment, medication management, and collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications

• Clinical nursing experience required.
• Knowledge of pain assessment and management.
• Proficiency in documenting patient records and care plans.
• Ability to educate patients and families about care plans.
• Infection control and patient safety adherence.

Responsibilities

• Adhere and comply with Organization Regulations and Administrative Policies.
• Adhere and comply with policies and procedure related to patient care, infection control, patient safety and accreditation standard.
• Demonstrate clinical competence in all aspects of patient care.
• Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care and assess the impact of nursing intervention as appropriate.
• Assessment and reassessment of pain and management of pain
• Ensure compliance with all policy and procedure for medication management.
• Explain plan of care to patient and family.
• Document all patients records as per policies and standards.
• Educate patient and family as required
• Ensure the involvement of the patient, family and significant others in the patient's care.
• Monitor clinical and other established performance indicators to ensure ongoing quality Improvement.
• Follow international patient safety goals.
• Report all near miss, sentinel events and any other incidents.
• Always maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information and records.
• Comply with all quality standards as decided by organization for patient safety and quality of care
• Participate and contribute in scheduled in service training programs like ACLS, BLS, PALS, NALS (If applicable), CNEs, conferences etc.,
• Knowledge on the blood drawing protocols and collection of reports.
• Alert the on-call physician/surgeon/ consultant in case of any deteriorating sings or abnormal lab results (Panic Value).
• Demonstrate knowledge on nursing care plan and its documentation.
• Ability to facilitate patient education.
• Knowledge on betadine/chlorhexidine (antiseptic)scrub bath prior to surgery.
• Administration of intra venous, intra muscular, intra dermal and subcutaneous injection.
• Perform steam inhalation, nebulisation and restrain policy.
• Assist / perform tracheostomy care and suctioning procedure.
• Ability to operate a Defibrillator.
• Ability to explain the discharge criteria as per policy.
• Management of blood and body fluids, HAZMAT spills.
• Handle central venous catheters and peripheral line.
• Knowledge on Anticoagulants and Urinary catheter care.
