Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health and record vitals (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration, SpO2).
• Implement nursing care plans per patient needs and doctor's instructions.
• Provide routine nursing care: hygiene, positioning, feeding assistance, mobility support.
• Monitor patients for changes and report abnormalities promptly to doctors and the nursing in-charge.
• Assist doctors during examinations, bedside procedures, and emergencies.
• Ensure timely admission, transfer and discharge per hospital policy.
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and comfort.
• Administer prescribed meds, injections, IV fluids, and treatments per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient, medication, dose, route, time, and documentation during administration.
• Monitor for adverse drug reactions and document promptly.
• Maintain med administration records and safe handling/storage.
• Perform nursing procedures within scope and hospital policy.
• Follow hand hygiene and standard precautions consistently.
• Use PPE appropriately.
• Follow aseptic techniques during procedures and dressings.
• Ensure proper segregation/disposal of biomedical waste per regulations.
• Follow infection prevention protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of equipment and area

Job description

Assess patients' health conditions and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation.

Implement nursing care plans according to patients' clinical needs and the treating doctor's instructions.

Provide routine nursing care, including personal hygiene, positioning, feeding assistance, and mobility support.

Monitor patients for changes in clinical condition and promptly report abnormalities to the treating doctor and nursing in-charge.

Assist doctors during clinical examinations, bedside procedures, and emergency interventions.

Ensure timely admission, transfer, and discharge procedures as per hospital policy.

Maintain patient dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and comfort at all times.

B. Medication and Treatment Administration

Administer prescribed medications, injections, intravenous fluids, and treatments as per authorized orders and hospital protocols.

Verify the right patient, medication, dose, route, time, documentation, and other applicable medication-safety checks.

Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and report and document them promptly.

Maintain medication administration records and ensure safe handling and storage of medications.

Perform nursing procedures within the scope of competence, authorization, and hospital policy.

C. Infection Prevention and Control

Follow hand hygiene practices and standard precautions consistently.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.

Follow aseptic techniques during nursing procedures and dressing changes.

Ensure proper segregation and disposal of biomedical waste as per applicable regulations.

Follow protocols for prevention of healthcare-associated infections.

Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of patient-care equipment and the assigned nursing area.
