Job summary

Synopsys Inc in Bengaluru seeks an experienced RF/high-frequency engineer to lead technical activities across the sales opportunity lifecycle, delivering pre-sales consultation, simulations, and product demonstrations.

You will collaborate with product teams, apply HFSS/SIwave/Q3D, and travel up to 25%. 4–7 years, MS/PhD, strong communication, and customer-facing skills.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent with electromagnetics specialization.
• 4–7 years of experience in the high-frequency domain using simulation tools for real-world applications.
• Strong knowledge of Ansys HFSS, SIwave, and Q3D Extractor; familiarity with RF/PI concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technical activities across the sales opportunity lifecycle (discovery, demos, evaluations).
• Provide best-in-class HF/PI solutions for PCB/Package/Advanced Packaging; collaborate across regions.
• Participate in events to promote SI/PI solutions and support marketing efforts.
• Act as a product expert for Ansys products and translate customer needs into features.
• Collaborate with product teams to test new releases on industrial problems.
• Deliver consulting services and conduct training sessions to empower customers and colleagues.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and assist in coordinating technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, including technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
• Provide best-in-class solutions involving PCB/Package/Advance Packaging/system interactions for signal and power integrity flow collaborating across regions and functions.
• Participate in external and internal events to enhance SI/PI simulation solutions and contribute to professional growth and marketing efforts.
• Act as a product expert for Ansys products, engaging with customers to understand their design needs and workflows, highlighting Ansys’ value proposition.
• Work closely with product development teams to translate customer requirements into innovative product features and test new releases on industrial problems.
• Deliver consulting services and conduct introductory or intermediate training classes to empower customers and colleagues.

What You’ll Need:

• MS/PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with specialization in electromagnetics.
• 4–7 years of experience in the high-frequency domain, using simulation tools for real-world applications.
• Expertise with Ansys HFSS, SIwave, Q3D Extractor, or comparable industry simulation software.
• Familier with SI, PI, RF and Microwave concepts. Basic-intermediate level of understanding of signal and power integrity.
• Ability to research, debug, and resolve software-related issues efficiently.

Added Advantage

• Experience building automation workflows for RF/Signal/Power Integrity/EMC simulation flows.
• Knowledge of commercial packages such as ADS, MATLAB, Python, and CST.
• Measurement & Lab Skills, Analysis and Problem-Solving skills, Hardware / System Knowledge.
