Job summary

Emergent in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Staff Security Engineer to secure AI-driven software production at scale. You will own security across full stack, from AI-generated applications and agent pipelines to cloud infrastructure and runtime environments.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years of security engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in application security and cloud/infrastructure security.
• Hands-on with AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, containers, IAM, APIs, and threat modeling.
• Experience securing multi-tenant systems and untrusted user-generated code.
• Ability to drive security from architecture to implementation.

Responsibilities

The Role:

Emergent runs a massive, multi-tenant, AI-driven execution environment where code is generated and executed continuously. You will secure the infrastructure that powers autonomous software creation.

We’re looking for a Staff Security Engineer to own security across the full stack—from AI-generated applications and agent pipelines to cloud infrastructure and runtime environments.

You’ll:

• Secure AI-generated code, applications, and agent pipelines
• Design secure multi-tenant cloud & runtime environments
• Lead threat modeling, detection, and defense across application and infrastructure layers
• Build security controls for AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, containers, IAM, APIs, and CI/CD
• Defend against prompt injection, container escapes, privilege escalation, and data exfiltration
• Build scalable security frameworks and partner closely with engineering and product teams

What We’re Looking For

• 8–15+ years of security engineering experience
• Strong expertise across Application/Product Security + Cloud/Infrastructure Security
• Hands-on experience with AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, containers, IAM, APIs, and threat modeling
• Experience securing untrusted/user-generated code and multi-tenant systems
• Strong systems thinking and ability to drive security from architecture to implementation

Bonus: Experience with AI/LLM security, agentic systems, prompt injection, sandboxing, or large-scale execution environments.
