Job summary

Saarthee is a global data analytics and AI consulting firm seeking a Staff Engineer – Java to architect and build high-scale backend systems. You will lead architecture decisions, mentor teams, and contribute hands-on coding to deliver secure, scalable platforms.

You will collaborate with Product, QA, and cross-functional teams, drive engineering best practices, and evaluate new technologies to improve system design, reliability, and developer productivity in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in backend engineering.
• Proficient in Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with AWS, NoSQL, RDBMS, and caching techniques; strong system design and security practices.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins.
• Nice to have Go or Python.
• Experience in payments domain is a plus; familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe).

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Staff Engineer – Java with strong expertise in architecting and developing high-scale, distributed backend systems. The role requires a blend of technical leadership and hands-on engineering. You will lead architecture decisions, drive engineering best practices, and build secure, scalable, and high-performance platforms.

This role demands strong problem-solving skills, the ability to mentor teams, evaluate new technologies, and contribute to building reliable and future-ready systems.

Your Role Responsibilities and Duties:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in backend engineering.
• Strong expertise in Java (11+), Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud, NoSQL databases, RDBMS, and caching techniques.
• Proven experience designing and scaling high-volume, distributed systems.
• Strong skills in system design, performance optimization, and security best practices.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins.
• Good knowledge of additional programming languages like Go or Python is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, debugging skills, and communication skills.
• Prior experience in payments domain is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
