Job summary

Nagarro in India is seeking an experienced Application/Production Support professional with 7+ years in Financial Markets domain. You will support Java/J2EE apps, Unix/Linux environments, and multiple databases, ensuring uptime and performance across cloud and on-prem deployments.

You will work with global teams, follow ITIL practices, manage tickets with BMC Remedy/Jira Service Desk, and drive continuous improvement. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in Application/Production Support, or Operations Support roles.
• Strong understanding of Financial Markets (Futures & Options, Equities, Derivatives trading).
• Hands-on Unix/Linux experience and Java/J2EE applications support.
• Strong SQL with Sybase, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server experience.
• Experience with Cloud and On-Prem deployments.
• Knowledge of networking, SFTP, MQ, APIs, and monitoring/observability tools.
• Familiar with ITIL Service Operations and ticketing systems (BMC Remedy, Jira Service Desk).
• Ability to work independently across global teams in high-pressure environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; knowledge of trading platforms and order lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Writing and reviewing great quality code.
• Understanding functional requirements and client needs in the project context.
• Envisioning the overall solution for functional and non-functional requirements and defining technologies and frameworks.
• Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets.
• Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.
• Leading/supporting UAT and production rollouts.
• Creating and validating work breakdown structures and estimated effort.
• Addressing issues promptly and driving continuous improvement.
• Providing constructive feedback and setting clear expectations.
• Troubleshooting complex bugs and supporting design/code reviews with justified decisions.
• Carrying out POCs to validate design/technologies against requirements.

• Helping the team in troubleshooting and resolving of complex bugs
• Coming up with solutions to any issue that is raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decision taken
• Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements.
