Job summary

Nutanix Bangalore-based opportunity is for a senior technical leader to architect distributed systems and mentor a fast-paced engineering team. You will drive design decisions, own critical projects, and ensure performance, scale and reliability across cloud and storage platforms.

Collaborating with product teams and customers, you will shape roadmaps, set milestones, and promote best practices in coding, testing and automation while advancing Nutanix's HYBRID multi-cloud vision.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with OS internals, distributed data management, web scale systems and proven ability in building clustered, high-performance distributed applications.
• Strong experience in building and managing web scale applications.
• Experience in GoLang/C/C++/Java/Python.
• Strong experience in Linux.
• Experience with storage, networking, virtualization and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and messaging (NATS, Kafka, Pulsar).
• BS/ MS in Computer Science or Engineering and 15+ years of experience.

At Nutanix Cloud Manager, we are trying to build the next generation platform to help enterprises model, develop and manage applications. • Participate in project planning with Engineering and Program Managers to set aggressive but achievable milestones and goals.
• Discuss requirements with Product team and elicit responses for Non Functional Requirements
• Participate in product roadmap discussions and customer interaction.
• Write white-papers and blogs, file patents, represent Nutanix in external seminars.

What will you bring

• Familiarity with OS internals, concepts of distributed data management, web scale systems and proven ability in having built clustered, high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed applications or systems software.
• Strong experience in building and managing web scale applications.
• Experience in one of following programming languages: GoLang/C/C++/Java/ Python
• Strong experience in Linux
• Working experience working with storage, networking, virtualization (Nutanix, VMWare, KVM) and/or cloud technologies – (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with database (SQL, Document-based) and messaging technologies (NATS, Kafka, Pulsar)

Qualifications and Experience

• BS/ MS in Computer Science or Engineering
• 15+ Years of experience
• Proven hands-on technical management
• Experience working in a high growth multinational company environment.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
