Amazon is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Speed + AI team in Hyderabad to help redefine ‘fast’ in eCommerce. • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.

• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large projects across multiple teams with a strong program management background.
• Dive deep into technical web technologies and translate requirements into functional specs and delivery.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, balance business needs with technical constraints.

We are the Same-Day Delivery Experience team and are in the early stages of reinventing the Amazon shopping experience to make Amazon the first place customers think to shop when they need something today, wherever they are in the world. We’re looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Same Day Delivery Experience team to help ensure we have a compelling and friction-free ‘delivery in hours’ experience available to our customers and help drive continuous innovation and improvement of the delivery experience across all phases of shopping, buying, and post-purchase experience.

Key job responsibilities

The best candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects across multiple teams, and will have a well-rounded technical background in current web technologies. You will thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives but can also dive deep and get the job done. As a seasoned TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, and then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. High judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Basic Qualifications
