Amazon is seeking a Sr Technical Program Manager for the Catalog team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on delivering large, cross-functional programs and driving architectural changes across multiple systems and teams to enable a best-in-class online grocery shopping experience.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in project and technical program management, strong communication skills, and a track record of end-to-end ownership in fast-paced environments.

Grocery Catalog and Supplier org is looking for a passionate and innovative Sr Technical Program Manager to join our Catalog team. This team will be deployed against some of our most complex and challenging projects and will deliver innovative technical solutions. We have an opportunity to revolutionize on-line shopping and set new standards for accessing the highest quality organic and natural groceries on-online.

As the Sr TPM, you will be a key member of tech leadership and will need to drive forward the technology across catalog system to create a best in class online grocery shopping experience.

We are looking for a Sr Technical Program Manager (TPM) with business and technical skills, great communication abilities, and a passion to use cutting edge science and technologies to help WFM.

Our team is seeking Sr Technical Program Managers to manage large, cross functional programs and projects that support catalog business. In this role you will be responsible for delivering large projects end-to-end that span multiple technology and operational teams. These projects will include initiatives such as rolling out new technology to new geographies as we expand, creating new technology to support new businesses and use cases, and otherwise building great technology platforms that can scale. In this role, you will lead large-scale re-architecture of our technology stack across multiple systems and teams. You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts, coordinating across multiple teams to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.

Key job responsibilities: This role is inherently cross-functional—this leader will work closely with engineering, project management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance our existing products and features. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The leader will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. As a Sr TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience


• 8+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience


• Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules


• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership


• Experience driving multiple products through a complete lifecycle


• High Scale services experience


• Experience combining hardware & software development
