Job summary

Birlasoft is looking for an Automation Test Lead in India to drive end-to-end test automation across UI and API layers. You will architect and implement test frameworks, mentor teams, and collaborate with business and development groups to ensure high-quality software releases.

Ideal candidates bring 8–10 years of hands-on automation experience, strong Java with Selenium/TestNG and Cucumber, and proficiency in CI/CD tools. This role requires on-site work and solid Agile experience.

Automation Test Lead

• Selenium test automation expert with 8 to 10 years’ Experience.
• Strong hand-on working on selenium TestNG & Cucumber with Java.
• Strong in developing scripts for both UI andAPI (Rest assured).
• Good hands-on experience in automation of web-based applications.
• Strong knowledge and experience with test methodologies, QA process, and software release cycle.
• Strong in developing scripts for both UI and API.
• Excellent Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures & design patterns.
• Good hands-on automation experience in creating frameworks, object identification & scripting.
• Should have developed one framework from the scratch and have knowledge of all the frameworks.
• Experience and understanding of Agile development concepts.
• Experience in communicating with business teams, other development teams, & management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in Test Management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM.
• Experience in CD/CD with Jenkins, Bamboo, SVN and GIT for code management.
• Experience in Writing effective SQL queries and Joins.
• Ability to analyze defects and provide root-cause analysis.
• Experience in Creation and execution of Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Data.
• Should possess strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities with quick adaptation to new technology , methodologies and systems.
