Job summary

Amantya Technologies is seeking a Senior Hardware and PCB Design Engineer in Gurgaon with a strong background in hardware design, PCB layout, and engineering leadership. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive design for manufacturability across multi-layer PCBs and RF/analog/digital circuits.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of hardware/PBC development experience, proficiency with Altium/Cadence, and excellent collaboration across hardware, firmware, and mechanical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in hardware, PCB design and Product Development.
• Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, or similar.
• Strong understanding of electronic components, signal integrity, and power distribution.
• Experience with high-speed digital design, analog circuitry, and RF design is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in library creation, schematic and High-speed PCB layout design.
• Expertise in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar.
• Analyze and mitigate signal / power integrity issues, including crosstalk, reflections, and impedance mismatches.
• Familiarity with LT spice, MATLAB, Proteus, P-spice, TINA, Ansys, Mentor Graphics, Hyperlynx etc
• Proficiency in component selection, layout design, design documentation
• Good knowledge of Analog and Digital circuit design.
• Work experience in MCU, MPU, FPGA, DDR3/DDR4/DDR5, BLE, WIFI, 5G RF based design etc
• Work experience in I2C, I2S, UART, SPI, CAN, USB, HDMI, PCIe, Ethernet, SATA, MIPI-CSI, MIPI-DSI etc.
• Experience of more than 12 layers PCB design
• Experience of AC to DC converters like Power supply, SMPS etc , AC to AC converters, DC to DC converters like Buck, Boost, PMIC, LDO etc.
• Familiarity with Digital multimeter, Oscilloscope, DSO, Function generator, logic Analyzer.
• Design and develop high-performance hardware and PCB layouts for complex systems.
• Lead and manage the entire PCB design lifecycle, from concept through to production.
• Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) principles.
• Experience of EMC/EMI considerations and compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Ensure proper component placement, signal integrity, and thermal considerations
• Perform design reviews and simulations to ensure compliance with electrical and mechanical specifications.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, software engineers, and mechanical engineers to define design requirements and ensure integration with other system components.
• Manage the PCB design lifecycle from concept through to production, including prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for high-speed PCB design.
• Review and optimize designs for manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support team members in resolving complex design issues.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including design files, bills of materials (BOM), and assembly drawings.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, firmware developers, Industrial designers and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure that PCB designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
