Job summary

AMETEK Bengaluru is seeking a Design and Review Engineer to design analogue and digital circuits, develop hardware platforms, and lead PCB bring-up for industrial-grade products.

You will collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams to ensure HW-SW integration, drive hardware updates and cost-reduction initiatives, and produce high-quality design docs and test reports. Experience with 32-bit MCUs (ST/NXP/TI) and high-speed interfaces is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience designing analog and digital circuits and performing board reviews.
• Hands-on PCB bring-up, debugging, and lab testing of MCU/MPU boards.
• Collaborative HW-SW integration with firmware and mechanical teams.
• Ability to apply EMI/EMC, isolation and grounding concepts in designs.

Job description

Design and Review

• Design and review analogue and digital circuits, including signal conditioning, power regulation,
• ADC/DAC interfaces, and control logic.
• Develop hardware platforms based on microcontrollers and microprocessors.
• Design robust hardware suitable for industrial environments (EMI/EMC, isolation, grounding, protection).
• Hands-on experience designing systems using 32-bit microcontrollers from vendors such as STMicroelectronics, NXP, Texas Instruments, or equivalent.
• Experience with microprocessor-based designs, including processors such as i.MX8 and i.MX9 families or similar application processors.
• Good understanding of high-speed interfaces, such as Ethernet, USB, LVDS, high-speed memory, and display or camera interfaces (as applicable).
• Apply basic signal integrity and power integrity concepts during schematic and layout reviews.
• Lead PCB bring-up, debugging, and validation of microcontroller and microprocessor boards.
• Oversee prototype assembly, integration, and laboratory testing.
• Work closely with Firmware and Mechanical engineering teams, as well as test engineer(s), to ensure successful HW-SW integration and product delivery.
• Drive hardware updates, enhancements, and cost-reduction initiatives for existing products.
• Create and maintain high-quality engineering documentation, design specifications, and test reports.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision‑making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI‑generated outputs
