Job summary

Gigamon is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Sr.SW QA Engineer for a full-time position in Chennai. This role requires a strategic thinker who can own manual testing and automation, and collaborate with GS development, regression and System teams.

No travel will be involved. The candidate should have 3–5 years of networking industry experience with L2/L3 knowledge, hands-on exposure to Traffic Generator, Xena, Spirent or TREX, and experience in Python-based test automation.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with 3–5 years in Networking, understanding L2/L3 concepts.
• Experience with network testing tools and test automation.
• Knowledge of Python-based automation and scripting.

Responsibilities

Gigamon is seeking a self-motivated experienced Sr.SW QA Engineer for a full-time position. This position requires a strategic thinker; a problem solver who is a self-starter and self-motivated; well organized, flexible, and effective with multiple simultaneous tasks.

What you’ll do:

• A self-motivated and exploratory skills who can own the responsibility of manual testing and automation and bring value by bringing innovation in his daily work activities
• Engineer will be able to communicate and collaborate generally with GS development, regression and System team, with occasionally NFV Infra team.
• No travel will be involved in this role.

What you’ve done:

• An Engineering graduate between 3 to 5 Years of Networking industry experience with in-depth knowledge of Networking L2 protocols, VLAN Switching, and L3 Routing.
• Hands-on experience with Traffic Generator, Xena, Spirent, TREX etc., as part of his or her testing(Any One)
• Good to have experience in test automation using Python and Robo (Or similar) Framework, with a focus on scalable solutions and intricate scripting capabilities.
